A Relaxing Way to Recover Deleted png File

Q: MMy Windows XP Home Edition crashed. I can only access the C:> prompt using a bootable CD. I can see the picture png files in various C drive directories but don't know how to recover them before I reinstall Widows. I do NOT want to lose all my family pictures! Please help!

A: 1. Do not save any new file to memory card or hard disk.
