A Simple Way to Recover Digital Photos from Canon camera

Q: I inadvertently deleted some photos from my Canon camera's SD memory card. They are vacation photos taken in Venice, Italy, a place we probably will never visit again. Please tell me there's a way to get them back?

A: Fortunately for you, there is. When you delete files from a camera's memory card, they aren't actually erased. When you delete photos from your Canon camera, the photo itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted photos is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead. So it is very, very important to not take any more pictures to the camera memory card from which you want to get back deleted photos.
