An Easy Way to Recover Deleted NEF File

A while ago I trashed a folder of raw files (.nef) from my Nikon D1x only to discover that they were missing a couple of days ago (not happy!). After some testing and internet searching I came up with a solution that may be useful to someone else in the future so there may be no need for panic. When you delete NEF photos from hard disk or memory card, the photo itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located.
